Why use a bee brush?

A brush is one of the most essential parts of the beekeeper's toolkit. The soft bristles allow you to brush bees away from lids, boxes, and frames while you are inspecting your hive or extracting honey. 

Why use a hair brush?

The bristles on this brush are made from natural horsehair. This prevents the buildup of static electricity, which means the bristles are gentler on the bees. Hair brushes also collect less honey and propolis.

We are always searching high and low for good-quality durable hair brushes with thick bristles and wooden handles. As such, there might be some variation in the design of the handle or the finish, but you can be sure that this will be a premium quality horse-hair brush with the bristles set firmly into the handle. 

You may see some 'shedding' of the horse hair when you wash the brush. This is normal, and with care this bee brush should last you a fair few seasons.
